My Favorite False Tan Systems

I love false tan. I really do. The idea of tanning beds or sunbathing absolutely terrifies me and I am extremely pale so false tan gives me that gorgeous glow without costing me DNA mutations or the risk of looking like Donatella Versace. St. Tropez and Cocoa Brown are so far my favorite brands because not only do they deliver a beautiful smooth tan but they also have a system of PREP, APPLY, MAINTAIN. You need to exfoliate your skin to baby butt soft before applying tan and must keep it well hydrated afterwards to avoid looking like an crusty dragon.

St. Tropez is a very established brand with countless different kinds of tan mousse and cream to suit the kind of tan you want or the sensitivity of your skin. Nearly available everywhere and in travel sizes, you can get your tan on no matter where you are! I even bought this tan on an airplane and applied it to my legs in the bathroom. (No shame, it looked fabulous...)
1. Tan Enhancing Polish
2. Classic Tan Mousse and Mitt
3. Tan Booster enhancing lotion

Cocoa Brown is a growing brand that started in a salon right behind where I went to beauty college! It has been amazing to see this brand fly off the shelves outside of Ireland. It is nearly impossible to achieve an orange hue with this tan because of it's beautiful chocolate tones. They are always expanding their line and now offer many variations of their tan. The best thing about it is the wait time for development. 1 hour for light tan, 2 hours for medium tan, 3 hours for a full bodied tan.
1. Tough Stuff body scrub
2. 1 hour Tan and Mitt
3. Chocolate Whip hydrating lotion

Coocoo for Coconut Oil

I was recommended by a friend to join the coconut oil craze and I am now a believer!

Coconut Oil is solid at room temperature and is easily melted by being scrapped into your hand and manually heated on the skin's surface or put into a small cup sat in a bowl of hot water.

The smell is gorgeous and not overpowering. It does not sit heavy on my skin and brightens the appearance of my tattoos.

Coconut Oil has many uses:

Here is a handy picture I nabbed off the internet!

I used coconut oil as a overnight hair mask just yesterday and my scalp psoriasis is now so calm

I use it on my body as an aftershave and it is a fantastic cuticle treatment.

Look out for me using coconut oil on my blog!

Creme De La Mer

My love for this brand brings to life the saying "champagne taste with beer budget"

It is my honor to introduce you to the super luxury skin care brand:

picture direct from Creme De Lar Mer website as well as Miracle Broth Story
Dr. Huber, an Aerospace Physicist suffered chemical burns in his laboratory and turned to creating a product to renew his pained skin. After 6,000 experiments he perfected a bio-fermented seaweed complex that renewed his skin, therefore being named...

THE MIRACLE BROTH
Dr. Huber believed the sea was a miraculous resource and sea kelp, with its endless ability to regenerate itself, its nourishing properties and the powerful way it retained moisture, held promise and hope. Then as now, the kelp was hand- harvested and fermented gently with simple, pure ingredients. For 3 to 4 months, these ingredients were nurtured and infused with light and sound, until they became the nutrient-rich Miracle Broth,
soul of the cream that renewed and helped restore the look of his skin. Today, the Miracle Broth lies at the heart of every Crème de la Mer product.

--------  X  -------

I was fortunate to receive twice now samples of their magical products that showed immediate and splendid results on my skin.
All my excessive redness was gone, spots were healed, my psoriasis was reduced to just slightly pink skin.

My love for Creme De La Mer is short lived because of the immense and depressing price tag. They are worth the investment but at this point in my life I will scrape through these samples and keep them in a designer porcelain bowl treating them like how Gollum treated The One Ring.

The products I am sampling are:

The Foaming Wash- £65
The Cleansing Foam

Also containing Miracle Broth, these cleaner is designed to remove excess oil and even light makeup to give the skin a deep but delicate washing. It provides immediate relief to my skin and does not irritate my eyes (which is saying something)

The Treatment Lotion- £85
The Treatment Lotion

A very interesting product that acts as a primer for the serums and concentrates for maximum adhesion to the skin and a boost of hydration as well. Just a few drops is all you need.

The Concentrate- £330 for 50 ml
The Concentrate
(description pulled directly from cremedelamer.com)
A savior of skin, the Concentrate complements skin's natural renewal process with the restorative power of the sea. Designed to soothe the look of irritation and redness caused by cosmetic procedures such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion and laser treatments, it is infused with a dose of highly concentrated Miracle Broth™, the heart of Crème de la Mer's profound powers of transformation. Skin appears calmed and soothed.

This product cleared two dermatitis patches I am experiencing on my face right now...overnight,

The Gel Cream Moisturizer- £105 for 30 ml
The Moisturizing Gel Cream

This medium lightweight moisturizer is a heaven sent. Makes me want to cry, one of my sample dishes, I am scraping the bottom of the dish and mixing it with my normal moisturizer to make it last longer. My skin feels softer than a baby's bum and nothing ails or irritates it.

I think I am going to make it my goal to discover less dear products with similar ingredients.

My Daily Sweet Treats, for my body that is.

I am currently a housewife so I have a lot of spare time during the day. I am a high maintenance gal but that does not mean I am going to spend all day pampering myself but I have chores to do, (though I would rather be watching Star Trek!)

I have my everyday and every other day must haves that keep me in check and thought I might be in a robe with unbrushed hair doing laundry, I am still feeling fabulous.

These goodies are outside of my normal skincare and hair care routine. They are all extra fluff to treat myself. They do not require time or work so I am not wasting time.

no. 1 Colgate 3D White teeth whitening strips
I use these every other day currently to try and get my teeth pearly white. I use the entire Glamorous White system by Colgate (toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, and the strips.) They need to stay on for one hour and they are a lot more sticky than they used to be. I love the having a weird lisp when the mail man comes by.

no. 2 Neutrogena Intense Repair Lip Balm (in german)
My lips do not need intense repair but because I wear matte lipstick so much, my lips need to be satin smooth and never chapped. Your lips look like creepy shag carpet from peeling skin if you put matte lipstick on chapped lips. This particular lip balm is my favorite because it is quick absorbent but I do collect them and have like five different chapsticks.

no. 3 Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment
Ojon is under the Bumble and Bumble umbrella and the brand is all about deep hydration. This product I use once or twice a week during the winter. I suffer from a very dry and sore scalp and I also have color treated hair so to combat both these problems. I comb them product onto my hair- roots to ends- massaging it into my scalp. I wrap my hair in cling film and leave it on all day long.

no. 4 Boscia Luminizing Black Mask
This product is going cult and is all over the internet on the faces of people I follow and adore (Jeffree Star). I bought it at Sephora as a spoiler product. It gives immediate results and exfoliates the skin a lot. That is most due to the fact that for some reason when I go to peal the mask off when it dries... it never wants to come off so I end up having to pull it of like I am waxing my entire face.
Still worth it...

no. 5 Soap and Glory Hand Food
My brother in law got me a massive gift set of soap and glory and my favorite product is this hand lotion. I probably lotion my hands five to ten things a day and with this lotion being so hydrating and so affordable, I feel no guilt keeping super soft hands. I cannot have a fabulous manicure and dry skin and cracked cuticles. It defeats the purpose!

no.6 Sanctuary Spa 4 day Moisture  Body Oil Spray
I pray to this stuff. Directly after my morning shower I go to town spritzing this spray all over the place. It makes my skin luxuriously smooth and I have always preferred dry body oils over body lotions because of the quick absorbency. Just give the spray bottle a shake to mix the orange and clear oils together and spray away. It has that signature Sanctuary Spa smell of sweet almond oil which it is just divine and even a little therapeutic on the senses!

My last goody is more of a helpful little tip. On those long days in, especially when the weather is like this, treat yourself with luxurious products. I collect all the fancy product samples I get in department stores and gift sets and refer to them on says like these. Mostly they are eye creams but all are amazing little treasures that I personally cannot afford to buy.
My sample pot is a mixture of Benefit, Dermalogica, Caudalie, Crem De La Mer, YSL, and more. These products samples last for a year and are concentrated so you do not need much to get the job done so they end up lasting quite a long time!

I hope you liked my list of my daily little goodies. I am going to do some mini tutorial posts this week of looks I did recently as well as trending looks of 2015 so far.

Jeffree Star Velour Lipstick

My idol, Jeffree Star, has opened the door to my dreams by starting a cosmetic range beginning with velour finish lipsticks. He makes a purple called I'm Royalty and his signature pink called Prom Night. I bought the classic red cleverly called Redrum because I do not have enough red lipstick, she said sarcastically.

First of all, the packaging and the tube itself, absolutely gorgeous. It makes me think of Barbie all grown up. It is so professional, so beautiful. The red is classic vintage red and dries with the matte velour finish that does not budge, does not blot off and is kissable!

Here I am, with my Jeffree Star inspired manicure (I am such a fan-girl for him!)
The color in the tube is the same color and same strength whence applied. It dries quickly but my favorite thing about it is that unlike other ultra matte lip products- my lips do not feel dry. They feel hydrated and flexible. In other unnamed brands, I find lots of dryness which causes clumps when I top up the color later in the day.

The applicator is very unique. It has a deep bend that contours to the shape of the lip and makes application a very easy and flawless process. I have never bought a product with an applicator like this before. I love it!!!!

This is my sassy selfie with "eyebrows on fleek", my Jeffree Star manicure and my new favourite lip product of all time, Redrum by Jeffree Star Cosmetics. I will buy ANY product he makes and once I have money, EVERY product he makes.
