Clown/Sugar Skull Contouring

I have been so confused by the clown and sugar skull contouring trend taking over my news feed. A woman will use many colors on her face, look like a crazy clown thing and then blends it out to look like a sexy goddess. Here is me, I just got contouring down pat and now they throw another challenge out there! 

Well... 

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!

I look ridiculous and I am panicking. I just drew spider webs and hearts and green dots all over my face. There is no possible way this is going to end up looking like normal face makeup and I will have wasted all this makeup to make myself look like a pastel weirdo.

Now, all the tutorials I have watched show them using color correcting concealers and fancy cream contouring palettes. Well, I don't have those. But, I DO have white foundation and colorful eyeshadows so, using the Sugarpill Cosmetics Sweetheart Palette shadows mixed with Illamasqua white Skin Base Foundation. I used lip brushes and concealer brushs for application and just kinda went for it...

Using my beauty blender sponge, I started blending and I was amazed by the outcome! IT WORKED!

How do I not look like a hot pastel mess? I do not know...

How did we get here? How did I make my skin look flawless and well contoured and brighter than ever? If  I had the patiency I would do this every day, Probably easier if I had the right products. (I know what to splurge on next if I can contain myself)  I finished off my look with Illamasqua Eyebrow Cake, Benefit They're Real Eyeliner, Benefit Roller Lash Mascara and LUSH Perspective lip color. Put the cherry on top with a setting powder to concrete this magic I made on my face.

Anna Nicole by Jeffree Star Cosmetics

Today I received my Anna Nicole velour liquid lipstick by

I am laughing out loud, literally, because this color matches my hair. My life is complete! 

Just like Redrum, this liquid lipstick is super matte but in no way drying or constricting on the lips. Amazing color choices aside, it is the texture that sells me with this fabulous product range. I wore Anna Nicole all day yesterday and there was no smudging or feathering. I barely needed to top up after dinner. Unlike many liquid lipsticks, this didn't cake during top up either. 

I plan on getting more colors soon but no matter where you are in the world, these 'lippies' are not easy to get your hands on! That is the only downside to the brand, supply and demand.

Alongside the Aura Palette, I used Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in my current shade, 07 and LUSH lip/cheek color sweetly named, Prosperity. 

 This dusty rose cream color works perfectly with this palette 

and is extremely hydrating!

In depth, the Aura Palette has everything to give you a flawlessly contoured daytime makeup look that is bright and refreshing any time of year. Just add your choice of mascara and lip color to make this look your own.

The colors are very pigmented, very smooth and the cream contour, hollow, is absolutely impeccable. It really gives the appearance of shadows on the face rather than lines of darker skin tones. The blusher is quite- one small pat is enough for that English Rose blushing glow. This palette would be amazing for a Bride.

The results...

This look is very natural in comparison to what I prefer but it is dewy and soft and because my entire look was four products (foundation, palette, lip color, and mascara), it was very fast and easy to do. I truly do recommend this palette to anyone looking for that quick fix to a flawless makeup look!
